The Middletown Free Library at the Roosevelt Community Center is a dynamic place that continues to evolve and grow with the community.

The Library has been serving residents since 1956 when the little red school bus made its first delivery of books. With the support of the community and township, the library was able to grow with two expansions to create the current library building on Pennell Road. No longer able to meet the needs of the community, the library worked with the Township to bring the library to the Roosevelt Community Center.

The Library offers a wide range of materials and programs to meet the education, information and entertainment needs of residents. We offer community access to technology such as 3D Printers and laptops with subscriptions to ChatGPT Plus and other applications.  We have programs that teach how to use and demonstrate virtual reality and basic programming skills for students.

The library prides itself in providing the highest level of service to all library users through appropriate and usefully organized resources; equitable access; and accurate, unbiased, and courteous responses to all requests.

The mission of the Library is to help the people of our community achieve their full potential through the transformative power of information, imagination & ideas.
